Terms of Service

As of February 2021 update

 1. Conclusion of the travel contract

With the registration, the customer offers FinnActiveTravel the binding conclusion of the travel contract. The registration must be made in writing.
It is carried out by the applicant for all participants listed in the registration, for whose contractual obligations the applicant is responsible for his own obligations. For FinnActiveTravel, the contract becomes binding after our written confirmation of the booking and the price.
Minors under the age of 18 can only participate with the written consent of their legal representative.

2. Payment
Our booking confirmation is also the invoice. We ask you to transfer 10% of the travel price, up to a maximum of € 260, as a deposit within 10 days of receipt of the invoice. The remaining payment must be made no earlier than 30 days before the start of the journey. Payments may only be made against delivery of the security certificate within the meaning of Section 651 k BGB. Your travel documents will be sent after receipt of payment, but no earlier than 20 days before the start of the journey.

3. For services,
see services included in the prospectus or special brochures and from the information relating to them in the travel confirmation. The information contained in the prospectus is binding for the tour operator. However, the tour operator expressly reserves the right to change the information in the brochure before the contract is concluded for objectively justified, substantial and unforeseeable reasons, about which the traveler will be informed prior to the invoice.

4. Withdrawal by the customer
In your interest (preservation of evidence) and to avoid misunderstandings, the withdrawal should be declared in writing. The travel cancellation takes effect on the day it is received by us. If a booked trip is canceled, we will charge the following costs:

  • Up to 30 days before the start of the journey: 15% (at least € 25),
  • 30.-15. Day: 25% of the travel price,
  • 14.-2. Day before the start of 50% of the travel price.

The following applies to log cabins:

up to 45 days before departure 50, -,

  • 44-35 days 50%,
  • from 34 days 80%.

For external services such as B. For ferries and flights, the cancellation conditions of the respective service provider apply. From the 1st day before the start of the trip until the end of the trip, the trip is deemed not to have started or to be prematurely interrupted. If, for whatever reason, the traveler does not make use of individual services due to a no-show or early return, these cannot be reimbursed. We will endeavor to obtain reimbursement from the transport company if this is not insignificant.
The traveler is at liberty to provide evidence that no or significantly lower costs were incurred in connection with the cancellation or non-commencement of the trip than the costs specified by the tour operator in the flat rate

5. Withdrawal by FinnActiveTravel
The organizer can also withdraw from the travel contract or terminate the contract after the start of the trip:
a) without observing a period of notice if the traveler disrupts the trip persistently, regardless of a warning from the organizer, or behaves contrary to the contract to such an extent, that the immediate cancellation of the contract is justified. The organizer retains the right to the travel price.
b) up to 2 weeks before departure if the minimum number of participants is not reached. In this case, the customer receives the paid price back immediately. The customer does not have any further claims.
c) if the execution of the trip is made difficult, endangered or impaired by unforeseeable extraordinary circumstances, e.g. B. War, strike or other cases of force majeure.

6. Liability
FinnActiveTravel is liable within the framework of the due diligence of a prudent businessman for
1. the conscientious travel preparation
2. the careful selection and monitoring of the service providers
3. the correctness of the description of all travel services specified in the catalogs
4. the proper provision of the contractually agreed services. The organizer is liable for any negligence on the part of the person commissioned to provide the service. Liability is limited in total to three times the travel price for damage that is not physical injury, provided that damage to the traveler is not caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
The organizer is not liable for disruptions in brokered external services that are marked as such.

7. Duty to cooperate
The traveler is obliged to cooperate in the event of service disruptions within the framework of the statutory provisions, to avoid possible damage or to keep it low. In particular, he is obliged to notify the local tour guide of his complaints immediately. This is instructed to take remedial action, if possible. If the traveler culpably neglects to report a defect, there is no entitlement to a reduction in price. The traveler has to assert claims against the organizer within one month after the contractually stipulated end of the trip.

8. Rebooking / substitute participants
We charge a flat rate of € 25 for changes to bookings such as the start and end of the trip, duration, start and destination, hotel, type of catering, type of transport or additional services, as well as the provision of a substitute participant after the contract has been concluded.
The organizer can object to the entry of the substitute person if this does not meet the special travel requirements.

9. Passport regulations
German citizens need a valid identity card to enter Scandinavia.

10. Organizer
FinnActiveTravel or the respective companies named. The ineffectiveness of individual provisions does not result in the ineffectiveness of the entire contract. German law applies. Lawsuits against the tour operator are to be brought at his seat. The place of jurisdiction for full merchants as well as for persons who do not have a general place of jurisdiction, as well as for persons who have moved their domicile or personal abode abroad after the conclusion of the contract or whose domicile or domicile or habitual abode is not known at the time the action is brought is de Location of the organizer = Hanover. The undersigned hereby recognizes the travel and business conditions of the organizer and the transport conditions of the participating modes of transport as binding for all participants.

Insurance
For your own safety, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance (RRV) from Europäische ReiseversicherungAG in good time.
